Andrea Leadsom Celebrates New Guidance on Phones in Schools

Since 2010, thanks to our long-term plan for education we have taken the number of good and outstanding schools from 68% to 88%.

However, one in three pupils report being distracted by mobile phones in lessons.

That’s why today we've issued guidance to schools to ban mobile phones, to ensure our children are able to receive the best possible education and a brighter future.
