World Mental Health Day 2020

Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year it may be the most important one yet.

The pandemic has had an effect on all of us, and it is vital that we all take care of our own mental health and of the most vulnerable in our communities who may have been affected or are simply lonely.

This year’s theme is ‘doing one thing better’ – so whether it is talking to someone about your mental health, making a positive change for better mental health or supporting a friend or colleague, do ‘one thing’ for better mental health.

I’ve met with many local groups who are doing fantastic work in the areas of mental health support and ensuring people aren’t lonely. There are many organisations, groups and volunteers in South Northamptonshire who are able to provide help with mental health advice, services and support.
