Ashfield Land and GLP pause Rail Central

I have recently received an update from Ashfield Land and GLP about their action to pause the Rail Central project.

The project had been under review to enable additional highways surveys and assessments to be completed and their planning application was subsequently withdrawn (October 2019) by Ashfield Land and GLP following views expressed by the Planning Inspectorate that additional highways improvements would be beneficial. 

I entirely welcomed this decision, and was pleased to have supported the community in calling for the extension to be rejected. This is a big win for the Stop Rail Central group and its strong campaign- congratulations to all those who gave so much time and energy to defend their local community!
