Rail Central - Meeting with Network Rail | December 2016
I met last week with three representatives from Network Rail - the Route Managing Director for the West Coast Main Line, the Senior Project Sponsor, and the Public Affairs Manager for London - North West - to discuss a number of maters, including the proposed strategic rail freight interchange near Blisworth, Rail Central.
One of the most significant concerns that I have heard from my constituents in recent months has arisen from the usage by the promoter of the Rail Central scheme, Ashfield Land, of Network Rail's logo on official-looking letters that pushed a property bond. I am extremely grateful to Network Rail for taking the time to reassure me and my constituents that they are not a promoter of the Rail Central proposals, nor was their logo used on the letters from Hamer Associated with their knowledge or permission.
Indeed, Network Rail have taken this matter up directly with Ashfield Land. I have also written to Ashfield Land to ensure that this does not happen again and to ask what steps they are taking to reassure my constituents in Blisworth. If anybody feels that they have been negatively impacted by the false usage of Network Rail's logo, please do get in touch with me and I will put your concerns to Ashfield Land for their comments.
