Silverstone Leys & Bovis Homes
Throughout the year, I visit as many of the hamlets and villages across South Northamptonshire as I can, taking the opportunity to speak directly to residents about their community and discussing any concerns or issues they might have.
Last Friday, I came to Silverstone with my team, Cllr Dermot Bambridge and Cllr Ian Morris to call on people in the new development by Bovis Homes, Silverstone Leys. Whilst very visually impressive, I was extremely disappointed to hear from so many residents on the doorstep that they were having problems with Bovis finishing their homes to the agreed standards, and that some of these issues had been outstanding for nearly a year now.
I have written to Michael Stirrop, the Managing Director for Bovis in our area, to set out some of these concerns to him, and to ask him to take proactive steps with local residents to address them as a matter of priority. You can see a copy of this letter below.
I would encourage anyone in Silverstone Leys (or, indeed, anywhere in South Northamptonshire) who has concerns about their new-build home to contact me, and I will do what I can to support you to find a resolution.
