Northampton Gateway Update

The Examining Authority has issued further written Questions, Commentary on the draft Development Consent Order, and given notice of Hearings to be held in March 2019.

You can find more information, including details of the questions the Planning Inspectorate, as the Examining Authority, has set out on their portal for this application.

I have provided a formal response to these further questions on behalf of constituents, and you can read that here. If you want to respond to ExQ2 or comment on any of the documents that have been published, the deadline set by PINS is the 26th February.

There is also an Issue Specific Hearing about the cumulative impact and interaction issues with the other SRFI proposal (Rail Central by Ashfield Land) on the 12th March, and an Open Floor Hearing on the 14th March. Again, details are on the Planning Inspectorate’s website should you wish to go. Unfortunately, my duties in the House preclude me from being able to attend either meeting, but my Parliamentary Assistant Tommy Gilchrist is going to the ISH meeting on the 12th to raise a number of points on my behalf.
