Andrea Leadsom Celebrates Second Reading of the Support for Infants Bill

So pleased for my great friend Sally Ann Hart that her Private Member’s Bill, the Support for Infants Bill, has today passed its Second Reading !

The Bill will require each local authority to provide information to every family expecting a baby about the services and support available to help them give their baby the best Start for Life.

It also requires Government to report each year on the support available and how it has improved outcomes for our youngest children. This is a huge step forward for the Start for Life programme - bring on Committee Stage!
