Kickstart Event

Last week I was pleased to attend the Kickstart event at The Forum. Hosted by the Department for Work and Pensions and West Northamptonshire Council, the event was focused on matching employers with employees, in particular for those aged 18-24.   

Before I arrived at the event, one young person had already been offered three jobs! This is excellent and a fantastic example of the promising future that this scheme has. 

With 60 people eligible for the programme in Towcester and Brackley, I encourage those that are eligible to find out more about the scheme and the opportunities that are available.  

Many local employers like Silverstone Heritage, have job opportunities currently available – they currently have 13 places in various departments like fundraising, media and marketing. Other companies like McDonalds, Kartism Ltd, Moorgate Finance, Saracens Head Hotel, Yum Chop Foods Limited are all collaborating with the Kickstart scheme to help get more young people into employment.
