Update on the Proposed M40 J11 Euro Garages Development

Further to my submission in June to Cherwell District Council's planning consultation on the proposed Euro Garages site at J11 of the M40, I have received a response from the developers to the points that I raised, as well as a copy of the recent screening opinion from the Council.

I had understood from the developers, earlier in the year, that the site fell within the South Northamptonshire boundaries although I am now told that it is entirely within my colleague Victoria Prentis MP's constituency of Banbury. The footprint for the site is now smaller than originally proposed after the plans were examined. However, as South Northants residents in Middleton Cheney, Chacombe, Chipping Warden and elsewhere have raised their concerns with me about the proposals, I shall continue to follow the matter closely.

A final decision on the planning application is expected in the final quarter of this year.
