Tree Top Way Decision Nears

I have written to the Forestry Commission to ask them for an update on their decision to repair and reopen the Tree Top Way in Salcey Forest.

In the past few months I have had positive discussions with the team looking at the works needed to be undertaken, and they have been clear that they are heartened by the swell of public support for the Tree Top Way, not least through the public petition organised by Emma Mooney (if you haven’t signed and wish to, you can do so here: https://www.change.org/p/please-stop-the-closure-of-the-treetop-walk).

The Forestry Commission team have been looking at quotes so they can have a full understanding of the costs and implications of reopening the site, as they have to ensure that any spend is a good use of public money.
