Andrea Leadsom Updates Residents on HS2 Overnight Closures

Residents should be aware that HS2 will be closing the A43 southbound overnight between 8pm-6am Monday-Friday from now until Wednesday 6th September. There will be no overnight closures during the August Bank Holiday weekend, this includes Friday 25th August and Monday 28th August.

I recently met with National Highways, Persimmon and HS2 where I encouraged them to work together to prioritise road closures for the A5 Roundabout, so that closures of the A43 would have as little impact on residents as possible. I am pleased that this suggestion was taken up, and I will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that any road closures have a reduced impact on residents.
