Andrea Leadsom Updates Residents on HS2 Works

I have received the following update from HS2 on their planned works:

𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙

As part of HS2's ongoing works to build the Banbury Road overbridge, a section of Banbury Road (pictured above) will be closed from today until mid-November. The diversion route in place is via the A423 and the A361. Nearby businesses will remain open as usual.

𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡

In preparation for the main construction of the Greatworth Green Tunnel, residents can expect to see precast tunnel segments being delivered to the site from Monday to Friday. There will be a few deliveries every day, rising to 10 to 15 in the peak construction period.

To deliver the widest segments safely, some short periods of traffic management may occasionally be in place early on Sunday mornings. Construction of the tunnel is scheduled for completion in 2025.
