Andrea Leadsom Demands Halt to A43 Road Closure

I have today written to West Northamptonshire Council, asking them to refuse SEGRO's request to close the A43 from Towcester to J15A from 8pm tomorrow (Friday) to 6am on Monday.

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car event at Silverstone Circuit takes place this weekend, which will result in a substantial amount of additional traffic on our road network.

It cannot be right that with residents reportedly already enduring 57 hours of road closures this weekend, SEGRO is looking for the A43 to be closed as well. We must put a stop to these uncoordinated road closures in Northamptonshire.
