Andrea Leadsom Meets Lord Benyon on Electronic Dog Collars

Many residents have written to me asking what the Government is doing on electronic dog collars.

I was grateful to meet with Lord Benyon, the minister responsible, yesterday afternoon, to get an update on what the Government is doing on this important issue.

The Minister assured me that this a proportionate ban to stop the missuse of these collars against animals whilst leaving in place other tools to help train dogs, avoid the problems of sheep worrying, and prevent pets running off.
