HS2 Works Update - May 2020

HS2 have provided further information on continued work in the South Northamptonshire area.

Trial trenching evaluation works will begin in Greatworth, Culworth and Edgecote from mid June and are expected to be completed by mid autumn.

Greatworth: A track turning south off the B4525 between Helmdon Road and Station Road junction will be used to access the site. 

Culworth: The site is located near Lower Thorpe Mandeville. Access to the site will be along Banbury Lane. 

Edgecote: The site is located nearby River Cherwell, to the east by Welsh Road. Access to the site will be along Welsh Road.

Additionally, HS2 are also recommencing works to the B4525 near Greatworth, including widening, utility works, installing a new road surface markings and signage and hedgerow planting.

They are also carrying out some archaeological works at Spella House (near Boddington) which will start at the beginning of June and run until September.
