Visit to Performance Projects
There are so many amazing businesses at Silverstone Circuit – it is a real hub of innovation at the forefront of British engineering, technology and design.
On Friday, I was invited to visit Performance Projects, a company who specialise in vehicle innovation and building and supplying fully functioning vehicles and subsystems. Their design and development skills are also being applied to non-automotive sectors including agritech, construction and defence. Chris Horton, Managing Director and Terence Goad, Technical Director showed me around the premises and gave a demonstration of their remote driven mobile platforms and dynium fully autonomous tractor. The tractor is capable of travelling over multiple terrains and it is ideal for agricultural use, especially for fruit picking as it can be programmed for each orchard or polytunnel. I would highly recommend the local farming community to look at the capabilities of their technology.
I was delighted afterwards to have a go in their Morgan 3 wheeler which is an iconic version of the original from the 1920’s!
Well done to Chris, Terence and the whole team on your excellence in engineering - I wish your business continued success
