Funding Secured for Silverstone Digital Manufacturing Centre

I am delighted that funding has been secured from the Local Growth Fund to develop a new Digital Manufacturing Centre at Silverstone Park.

The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) is delivering a £3.14m investment for a technology innovation hub which will provide businesses with on-site access to digital manufacturing facilities including a range of additive manufacturing technologies while also allowing SMEs and high-performance technology start-ups to access knowledge and advice by encouraging an eco-system in digital manufacturing.

The innovation centre is expected to help develop new and high-value engineering opportunities and assist over 100 SMEs, while also forecast to contribute £9 million gross value added to the region.

This is a huge boost for the site, which continues to go from strength to strength.
