Andrea Leadsom Updates Residents on Silverstone International Project

I have written to the Secretary of State for Transport for an update on the Department's work assessing the merits of a train station on the HS2 line north of Brackley on the A43.

This project would deliver massive benefits to our area and would take thousands of car journeys off the road - Brackley/Towcester and surrounding villages are home to many commuters and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone is the largest annual sporting event in the UK.

I will continue to argue for improved transport links for South Northamptonshire, and hope that the Minister will visit soon to see the proposed site.
