HS2: Welsh Road Closure

HS2 have been in contact to let constituents know about the full road closure of Welsh Road (West Side, towards Aston le Walls.)

The road will be closed from Monday 11th May until the end of July 2020 and whilst it is closed a diversion route will be in place.

HS2 contractor Fusion, through subcontractor Buckingham Group Construction Ltd (BGCL), will be carrying out the work which will consist of: 

• Merging the new road layout with the existing road to form a staggered junction.

• Removal of the present road pavement.

• Utility diversion works.
• Landscaping and planting.
