Visit to Blakesley Primary School
I recently visited Blakesley Primary school, meeting with Head Teacher Laurie Hill and his deputy Emma Cox alongside Miranda Wixon of TOW Foods. TOW Foods have been supporting the school by providing cereal, bread and jam etc for their friendly breakfast room, which is a great space for some of the children to have breakfast and sit and have a chat with their friends before the school day begins. This is particularly important after restrictions of lockdown, and I heard from Laurie about the efforts staff are making to help the children to socialise again, and feel confident with their friendships.
The children at Blakesley love to read and the school has a fantastic selection of books - visiting some of the classrooms, the children told me about some of their favourites!
