Trip to Towcester Foodbank

Huge thanks to the Towcester Foodbank for showing me around again last Friday.   It was a pleasure to meet with Helen and Terry, two of the Trustees, as well as some of the wonderful volunteers who support this vital work.  

I had a look in the warehouse at the range of food collected from supermarkets and donations from the public, and heard how new clients can access the foodbank - they get a warm welcome from Kate Stretton who not only ensures clients receive food but also tells them what further help may be available. Sarah Crisp from the Citizens Advice Bureau was also on hand to advise on benefits, housing and debt related issues. Thank you to all at the foodbank for all you do for our local community!
